Charity Leather

Thursday, 12 February 2015

Long leather coats have never really been the one thing that catches my eye when it comes to buying outerwear. I seem to always look for a typical short biker jacket or just a general structured coat. But when I tried this on in a local charity shop I thought it would be something different that I could hang in my wardrobe. Can't go wrong for £12 now can you?

Teamed up with my sturdy DM's and just some casual black jeans (that unfortunately make my legs look very stumpy on pictures) and a black baggy velvet tee is all I needed to quickly get up and go when I visited family in St Neots/Cambridge last weekend.

4 Trench Coats I'm Lusting Over

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Trench Coats

Trench coats are always popular when it comes to outerwear. When I think of them, I always have an image of Caroline Flack in her beige coloured Burberry tailored trench strutting her stuff.

They're such a classic statement piece that everybody loves to wear, whether it be on the day with some skinny jeans and some brogues or on the night with a LBD and some pointed toe court heels. Personally, I think we all should have at least one good trench coat in our wardrobe ready to be grabbed when the weather turns grey, which is 90% of the time in England.

I've been seeing trench coats a lot recently online and I've been lusting over these four in particular. The light grey Urban Outfitters one is my favourite. I've found it very hard to resist clicking 'add to basket' whilst I'm trying to save up. *crying face*

Lets see in a few more weeks if I can still resist the urge!!

Review | LUSH Grease Lightning Spot Treatment

Sunday, 1 February 2015

For the past few months I have been really struggling with my skin, i.e. the amount of hideous spots that have decided to linger on my face. I've been shopping around for different solutions to test out and decided to give the spot treatment from Lush a go seen as though so many people have raved about it.

I applied the gel formula treatment to my spots both morning and night and found that the easy pump action bottle made it very easy to apply. I did noticed a slight improvement with the redness and inflammation of my pimples and spots over a few days.

It's designed to prevent spots from erupting not actually get rid of the ones already formed. Therefore, I unfortunately overestimated this little bottle as I thought and was hoping it was going to eliminate my current spots.

For only £6.40 for 45g I do think it's a bargain. I'm going to carry on using this to see if I find anymore improvements but I do think I need to look around for another product to get rid of these annoying creatures still on my face.

Did this spot treatment work for you? Do you recommend any products that will help with my spots?

Review | Vitabella Face Cream

Thursday, 17 April 2014

A few weeks ago I received this little tub of hydrating face cream by 'Vitabella'. I was going to post a review before now, but to my bad luck I came out with a terrible allergic reaction to face paints, therefore had to stop using any products on my face except what the doctor had prescribed. It's finally gone now and I'm back using this cream every day, morning and night. Yippee.

We all know Aloe Vera has just about every benefit you can think of for your skin, which is why I was so excited to try this. I tend to have combination skin, so I was hoping the Aloe Vera would help calm down my occasional oily T zone. And guess what? It did the trick. It was very easy to apply and did not feel thick/clumpy as some moisturisers do. It was very light on the skin, and the unusual smell (I can't put my finger to what it is yet) was actually somewhat satisfying. Within a day my face felt smoother and much healthier.

Thanks Vitabella for the tester pot.  I'm certainly going to be using this again. It's all natural ingredients as well, which is a bonus. Thumbs up from me!

Why don't you check out their other products? http:/ /www.myvitabella.co.uk/ Have any of you used their products before? Let me know. Thanks for reading!

WISH LIST | PRETTY LITTLE THING

Monday, 14 April 2014

Two posts in one day? Yes, I'm making up time from being absent from blogging.
So, after scrolling through clothes websites all day (instead of revising), I decided to make a wish list of all the things I am wanting/loving right now. Seeing that Pretty Little Thing were also doing a VIP Blogger competition, meant that doing a post on my favourite items of their collections was a chance I couldn't say no to. Here goes..

Cut Out Bralet- £12

Floral Bomber Jacket- £25

White Ripped Mom Jeans- £30

Black Gladiator Sandals- £24

Dina Gold Chain Dangle Earrings- £5

Elisa Gold Lion Chunky Chain Necklace- £10

I love white jeans at the moment, but it's so annoying because I still haven't had the chance to grab a pair. I see my friends walking around with them and my heart just sinks at just how good they look in them! They're great for the summer season and go well with either a casual black jumper for the day time and even some heeled sandals for the night. The ripped effect makes it just that more grungy as well! This floral monochrome bomber jacket is a key statement piece, which would just about go with any plain outfit to add that extra edge. I think it's quite hard to find a nice jacket, that isn't a denim/leather and isn't a massive coat, but this is perfect- I'd definitely wear it over a black maxi! This crop top is so simplistic but the cut makes it look so flattering! People may assume these sandals are a bit of a 'grandma' shoe, but I love how they can be easily slipped on and off for the summer at the beach, with no hassle of laces!

I picked these earrings to go with this outfit because since I shaved my head back in January, I've found it hard to find some nice earrings that don't look daft. I've got a few big pair of hoops/triangular earrings, but I thought these gold dropped chain earrings are quite different, and would look nice both for the day and night! Also, the chain matches the necklace I have picked out. Need I say anything about this gold chain lion necklace? I don't know why, but I love it! You know when there is just that one item you see and you can't stop staring at it/scrolling back to it? Yep, that was this for me! I just love how it's such a chunky statement piece. Arghh, how can I be in love with a piece of metal!!

What are your thoughts on these pieces I picked out? I am loving Pretty Little Thing recently, and can't wait for more of their summer items to come out!
Is there any other items you would of picked?

OOTD | EMBROIDERED LINED MIDI SKIRT

Monday, 14 April 2014

Advantages of my sister working at 'TK Maxx' are the great discounts she can get and the bargains she always finds. When she came home with this gorgeous chiffon/lace embroidered lined over lay detailed skirt, I was buzzing. We both fell in love with it, especially when she told me it was reduced from £20 to £5! Twenty pounds is still really good I think for a midi skirt, but this little summery beauty was just a bargain you couldn't say no to.

I was so glad the sun came out yesterday- Spring is finally here! I was going to my friends house party, and I wanted to go for the casual/comfortable look, but still feel and look nice and girly. I teamed the skirt with a black long sleeved top; black New Look heeled boots and my Primark brown satchel bag. You could say it's a sort of monochrome look, even if the skirt is quite a creamy colour or that it looks like my Nana's curtains (my friend made this joke). The only disadvantage about this skirt is that it's very see-through, and I wore white knickers too! So, just beware! Other than that, I can see myself wearing this all through the summer- I just love it!

What are your thoughts on this outfit?

Stressful Week

Tuesday, 1 April 2014

Hi guys, just a quick post.. I'm very sorry I haven't had the chance to post anything recently, I have been ridiculously stressed with the amount of workload I have at the moment. To all of you taking A Levels (or have done them), you can agree with me it's not good!

If you ask any of my friends they will tell you I'm typically a stressful person, but lately it's a new level. Right now I am preparing for my practical Drama exam tomorrow, and  I am involved in 'Cats The Musical' at my local theatre, starting tomorrow night until Saturday! Lots and lots of long days and nights have occurred these past few weeks. Hopefully it will be a lot more relaxed this upcoming week, due to the Easter holidays, yey. However, I have got a lot of revision to do- oh what fun!

I will be posting a little review of a face cream I recently got in the post last week. It'll probably be within the next few days/weekend. So keep checking back! Sorry again, but I'll be back in no time!

How do you guys cope with stress? I usually just breakdown, listen to music or go for a jog!!
