Review | Vitabella Face Cream

Thursday, 17 April 2014

A few weeks ago I received this little tub of hydrating face cream by 'Vitabella'. I was going to post a review before now, but to my bad luck I came out with a terrible allergic reaction to face paints, therefore had to stop using any products on my face except what the doctor had prescribed. It's finally gone now and I'm back using this cream every day, morning and night. Yippee.

We all know Aloe Vera has just about every benefit you can think of for your skin, which is why I was so excited to try this. I tend to have combination skin, so I was hoping the Aloe Vera would help calm down my occasional oily T zone. And guess what? It did the trick. It was very easy to apply and did not feel thick/clumpy as some moisturisers do. It was very light on the skin, and the unusual smell (I can't put my finger to what it is yet) was actually somewhat satisfying. Within a day my face felt smoother and much healthier.

Thanks Vitabella for the tester pot.  I'm certainly going to be using this again. It's all natural ingredients as well, which is a bonus. Thumbs up from me!

Why don't you check out their other products? http:/ /www.myvitabella.co.uk/ Have any of you used their products before? Let me know. Thanks for reading!

WISH LIST | PRETTY LITTLE THING

Monday, 14 April 2014

Two posts in one day? Yes, I'm making up time from being absent from blogging.
So, after scrolling through clothes websites all day (instead of revising), I decided to make a wish list of all the things I am wanting/loving right now. Seeing that Pretty Little Thing were also doing a VIP Blogger competition, meant that doing a post on my favourite items of their collections was a chance I couldn't say no to. Here goes..

Cut Out Bralet- £12

Floral Bomber Jacket- £25

White Ripped Mom Jeans- £30

Black Gladiator Sandals- £24

Dina Gold Chain Dangle Earrings- £5

Elisa Gold Lion Chunky Chain Necklace- £10

I love white jeans at the moment, but it's so annoying because I still haven't had the chance to grab a pair. I see my friends walking around with them and my heart just sinks at just how good they look in them! They're great for the summer season and go well with either a casual black jumper for the day time and even some heeled sandals for the night. The ripped effect makes it just that more grungy as well! This floral monochrome bomber jacket is a key statement piece, which would just about go with any plain outfit to add that extra edge. I think it's quite hard to find a nice jacket, that isn't a denim/leather and isn't a massive coat, but this is perfect- I'd definitely wear it over a black maxi! This crop top is so simplistic but the cut makes it look so flattering! People may assume these sandals are a bit of a 'grandma' shoe, but I love how they can be easily slipped on and off for the summer at the beach, with no hassle of laces!

I picked these earrings to go with this outfit because since I shaved my head back in January, I've found it hard to find some nice earrings that don't look daft. I've got a few big pair of hoops/triangular earrings, but I thought these gold dropped chain earrings are quite different, and would look nice both for the day and night! Also, the chain matches the necklace I have picked out. Need I say anything about this gold chain lion necklace? I don't know why, but I love it! You know when there is just that one item you see and you can't stop staring at it/scrolling back to it? Yep, that was this for me! I just love how it's such a chunky statement piece. Arghh, how can I be in love with a piece of metal!!

What are your thoughts on these pieces I picked out? I am loving Pretty Little Thing recently, and can't wait for more of their summer items to come out!
Is there any other items you would of picked?

OOTD | EMBROIDERED LINED MIDI SKIRT

Monday, 14 April 2014

Advantages of my sister working at 'TK Maxx' are the great discounts she can get and the bargains she always finds. When she came home with this gorgeous chiffon/lace embroidered lined over lay detailed skirt, I was buzzing. We both fell in love with it, especially when she told me it was reduced from £20 to £5! Twenty pounds is still really good I think for a midi skirt, but this little summery beauty was just a bargain you couldn't say no to.

I was so glad the sun came out yesterday- Spring is finally here! I was going to my friends house party, and I wanted to go for the casual/comfortable look, but still feel and look nice and girly. I teamed the skirt with a black long sleeved top; black New Look heeled boots and my Primark brown satchel bag. You could say it's a sort of monochrome look, even if the skirt is quite a creamy colour or that it looks like my Nana's curtains (my friend made this joke). The only disadvantage about this skirt is that it's very see-through, and I wore white knickers too! So, just beware! Other than that, I can see myself wearing this all through the summer- I just love it!

What are your thoughts on this outfit?

Stressful Week

Tuesday, 1 April 2014

Hi guys, just a quick post.. I'm very sorry I haven't had the chance to post anything recently, I have been ridiculously stressed with the amount of workload I have at the moment. To all of you taking A Levels (or have done them), you can agree with me it's not good!

If you ask any of my friends they will tell you I'm typically a stressful person, but lately it's a new level. Right now I am preparing for my practical Drama exam tomorrow, and  I am involved in 'Cats The Musical' at my local theatre, starting tomorrow night until Saturday! Lots and lots of long days and nights have occurred these past few weeks. Hopefully it will be a lot more relaxed this upcoming week, due to the Easter holidays, yey. However, I have got a lot of revision to do- oh what fun!

I will be posting a little review of a face cream I recently got in the post last week. It'll probably be within the next few days/weekend. So keep checking back! Sorry again, but I'll be back in no time!

How do you guys cope with stress? I usually just breakdown, listen to music or go for a jog!!

Review | The Scrub Of Your Life

Saturday, 22 March 2014

For a few months now I've had this little body scrub (The Scrub Of Your Life) just sat lingering around, waiting for me to crack it open and start scrubbing away! It was only about three weeks ago, after running out of my previous body butter, that I decided to give it ago. And I love it!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to try it, as I adore Soap and Glory products! I fell in love with their other body butter (Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub) months and months back- the 'maple scent' was so tempting to eat!

Just as it says on the bottle- 'once rough elbows go suddenly silky', oh my so it does! This exfoliator does a tremendous job of removing dead skin whilst moisturising at the same time, leaving your skin so smooth. It manages to keep a good amount of lather and is washed off very easily, without leaving any residue (which can happen with some other brands).

This body scrub/butter isn't too harsh at all, and the sweet smell is lovely. At only £8, I feel this product is moderately priced, and Boots often advertise their 3 for 2 offers on their Soap and Glory products. I am a sucker for the pink girly packaging too- what more can you want?

What's your favourite Soap and Glory product? Have you used any of their scrubs before?

Nails Inc. Belvedere Road

Tuesday, 11 March 2014

It's been nearly two weeks since I started this blog, and I do apologise for not posting anything sooner. We've all heard of the acclaimed nail polish brand 'Nails Inc.' before, but it was only till about a year and a half ago I received a bottle as a present and instantly fell in love. I usually use different types of nail polish brands, depending on what colour I'm after or whether there's an offer in my local Boots/Superdrug, but I've recently been loving these!
  Left to Right
Special Effects Farringdon Crackle Topcoat, Special Effects Clapham Crackle Topcoat, Special Effects Fitzroy Square, St James, Buckingham Street, Belvedere Road, Victoria

I always hate it when my nails are worse for wear but I admit it, I'm sometimes guilty of being too lazy to remove my chipped nail varnish. So when I actually get a time to relax and take care of my fingernails, I always have a hard choice picking what colour to use. It usually depends on what mood I'm in on that day, or whether or not I'm going to a party on the night. This is why I'm sharing the little collection of Nails Inc polish I've acquired over the past year- either presents or a cheeky little win on a tombola (lucky I know)!

Last week I went to a little craft fair in my town, and just as I was leaving I seen the tombola. I've always been quite a lucky person when it comes to things like this. So when I handed my £1 over in return for 5 raffle tickets, hoping to end in '00' for the bottle of Rosé, I sadly missed out. But luckily, on my last ticket, I got a winner! This tombola was different to the ones I've seen before, if you were a winner you could pick any prize(except the alcoholic ones, where you had to have '00'). My mam instantly noticed two unopened Nails Inc polishes sat there, and I quickly grabbed this little beauty before anyone else had a chance.

I just love this metallic royal purple shade, and it's super silky to apply. I've only been wearing it for a day, so I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but the other colours usually stay on for quite sometime for me. I'm still over the moon I bagged this lovely nail polish for only £1, when usually they cost around £11!!

What is your favourite Nails Inc. colour? Have you had any luck when it comes to tombola's? Please let me know. Thank you for following, it's very much appreciated!

WISH LIST | MONOCHROME CLASSIC

The thing I love about the classic monochrome look is that each piece in a collection is both effortless with a laid-back kinda approach, but still with a hint of sophistication. In my opinion, black, compliments and suits everyone. It has so many positives- it's elegant; slimming; looks good with any hair colour.. You know what I mean!! Over the past few months, I've also been loving the colour white, despite the difficulty of not getting it dirty (it's hard when you're wearing pristine white shoes and your only way home is to walk across the grass)!

First on my wish list is these Black leather running shorts, from Topshop for £65, as I love how they can easily be worn with black tights and some heels for a night out or dressed down with a par of Vans. Even though the leather look makes an outfit look more on the edgy side, I still don't think I'll be running in these.

The cropped tops are a great way to add some edge to an outfit- either a pair of skinny jeans or even a floral midi skirt. I love this white Daytona Leather Halter Crop Top, from Rag & Bone. The open back and spaghetti straps make such a bold statement, the only thing is that it's $220, which makes me want to cry! An alternative crop is this Black Bralet, from Adidas, for only £19.

Ever since last summer, I have loved cut out boots! They make such a statement, even with the most simple outfits. These white chunky ASOS ANNOUNCEMENT Gladiator Ankle Boots are without a doubt my favourite shoes in ages, I definitely want a pair! Now only £44, means you don't have to break your bank balance. I have always loved Zara's shoe collection, even more so now since I've seen these white and black pointed Leather Two-Tone High Heel Court Shoe, for £49.99. I personally think these would be a bit harder to match with an outfit- I'm thinking just some vintage jeans.

Last on my Wish List, is this duck egg blue, oversized Zara coat. With blue being my favourite colour, and pretty pastels going to be very big this upcoming Spring/Summer, it's without saying why I love this coat so much. The cut just makes it look very stylish, but still quite 'girly'. Does somebody want to give me £79.99 for this little beauty?

Still trying to get to grips with all this blogging. It would be great to hear your opinions or if you have any tips for me please! What do you think of my Wish List? Would you pair these items with anything else?
